Mr & Mrs Penhall at Collisheen Estate Orchid House
We dont normally meet the bride and groom for the first time on their wedding day. Usually we get together to chat photo ideas, timetables and albums weeks before. But Candice and Mark planned their wedding from Joburg and I only chatted to them via Candice’s mom or email. So it was that we only came face to face with Candice as she was getting her hair done on her wedding day. The good news is we loved her the moment we met her, but I am sure we aren’t the first. In the midst of flower girls, family and friends Candice just smiled, did her own make-up and waited patiently for the moment when she could put on her dress and marry Mark. Their wedding service made me cry, and I loved the flower filled gumboots, homemade beaded bouquet and how every family member was there to help set up at 8am! Candice wanted a morning wedding so her nieces and nephews could be a part of the day and so there was tea & cake, croquet on the lawn and delicious brunch all done beautifully by Collisheen Estate. The grey skies meant we were able to get such beautiful dramatic photos of the couple, with the rain arriving only moments after we finished. We left with tequilas being poured and the music being turned up,
I think the party was a big one!
